You have come to the right place to hack into your finances and make them do what you want them to.  My name is Brandon Koll and I’m not a financial expert, but I do really love talking about money and ways to be better with it. I spent over 21 years in the military and now I’m working in Information Technology. I have a Certified Ethical Hacker certification, which sounds cool, but honestly it was just a test that I passed.  I have taken some hacker courses as well but never hacked outside of those courses. 

Recently I made it a point to read more books and finance books were part of that reading. I realized that when I read a finance book versus any other book, I would get through it fast. This made me realize that I probably should have gone for a career in finance instead of IT.  With that said, I only plan to work for another 10 years at most and am not willing to start over at this point.

My solution to not switching careers is to read more finance books, listen to more finance podcasts, and write about finance when I’m not at work.  In addition to not having a financial certification, I’ve never been much of a writer.  I would write papers in college, but I’m sure they were not all that good.  Either way, here we are and hopefully I will get much better as I do this more.  Comments are always welcome, if you want to help me learn to write better, or if you are a financial expert that can correct something I say.
